As immensely connected and algorithmically-driven virtual spaces rapidly capture the attention of vast populations worldwide, people seem to have become more alienated and drawn to these digital constructs as they disengage from the real and physical. The work made up of a 2-channel video, composed soundscape and 4 poetries, explores this growing phenomenon, reimagining the inner psyche of an individual that is lost in an altered time-space dimension of an omnipresent digital bubble, as audiences are brought into metaphorical landscapes of “islands” floating and forming against the vast ocean of uncertainty.
