Jaxton Su

Jaxton enjoys experimenting with the ocular and illusory possibilities of colours and forms in different materials. His works portray peculiar narratives in miniature settings that are inspired by the natural environment and his exploration of the subjective self. While forming metaphorical relations between the natural phenomena and the everyday life through his works, he hopes to create a relational and experiential archetypal domain that will encourage reflection, association and perceptual shifts.

Jaxton Su (b. 1988, Singapore) is a visual artist specializing in painting and installation, with a keen interest in nature and psychology. He graduated from a visual communication background prior to pursuing his MFA at the Glasgow School of Art and was actively involved in teaching, collaborative and community art projects back in his home country. He enjoys experimenting on different materials as he attempts to bridge a connection between the natural phenomena and the everyday life. His works have been exhibited in Singapore, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Iceland and United Kingdom.
